That sounds much more calming than the more common canine panting at the end of lane. I’ll give it a try. Thanks.

I've been trying to get better with my arms out in front of me and holding a straight arm while the other comes over the top. I can go a length without breathing and feels fine. As soon as I try to breathe every other stroke I swallow water and my body twists all over the place!

Downbeat kick with opposite hand entry…..THAT is the main coordinating “check point” to communicate to swimmers. THAT full horizontal extension of the hand is more easily felt and defined than any other position in the arm stroke…much better than catch with same side downstroke kick. After that check point is mastered, then next step is to show how the less forceful same side kick is coordinated with the same side arm catch….but the vid is too short to demonstrate that on the model’s right side.

Interesting discussion especially on the catch. Is ‘pull’ the wrong term then for what actually happens after the catch with the arms? And do we need to focus more on the pull being what you do once you’ve anchored your arm to ease the body past the arm? Very informative video. Thanks.

Really like the open and close gate concept for recovery, definitely buy her book. It is really free speed when done correctly which for me made a world of difference in maintaining perpetual motion. I found thinking thumb to thigh then drag up to hip then open and close gate I get the best recovery stroke with elbow leading and feelingl the continuous forward momentum.

I hear this a lot. Try and release your abdominal muscles in particular whilst still tapping into all the muscles around your torso by sending your head away from your feet. That should release the tension for you to take a diaphragmatic breath

The only thing he's doing differently here is a quasi-6-beat-kick around the fly kick, the fly kick being something I would do as well.

Its a logical thing, no mystic, no bullshit, its a new full body technique and practice concept right at home, realtime analytically, and much much more. Its not at the market but in use with only few selected world top swimmers and triathletes, world champions, olympic top athletes, record holders, and all upcoming ... So far only the information, as mentioned not at the market yet. So spend your time and pray for mystic improving ... ;-)
